TPI Releases Results of 2011 Annual Associate Survey
05/10/2011 - Travel Professionals International

WINNIPEG, CANADA – Travel Professionals International (TPI), Canada’s largest network of independent travel consultants, has released the results of its 2011 Annual Associate Survey.

As the largest single measure of how TPI services rate year-on-year with its travel consultants, the survey gives important measurable insight into how the performance of TPI's support and program offerings match up with travel consultant expectations.

The voluntary survey was submitted by 320 TPI Associates between 25 March and 9 April 2011, representing a 39% increase over the 230 respondents of the 2010 survey.

Sample general findings from the survey include but are not limited to:

• 96% of respondents (compared to 90% in 2010 and 88% in 2009) either “Agreed” or “Strongly Agreed” with the statement, “Overall, I am satisfied and happy to be working with TPI.”

• 95% of respondents either “Agreed” or “Strongly Agreed” with the statement, “TPI listens carefully to my inquiries and responds in a caring, knowledgeable, and helpful manner.” This question was not asked in previous surveys and as such has no comparison figure.

• 93% of respondents either “Agreed or “Strongly Agreed” with the statement, “I would recommend becoming a TPI Affiliate to existing travel consultants who are not currently with TPI.” This question was not asked in previous surveys and as such has no comparison figure.

• 54% of respondents have over 5 years of experience as a travel consultant (including 29% with over 10 years of experience as a travel consultant). This question was not asked in previous surveys and as such has no comparison figure.

Following the release of the survey results, individual department managers and their teams are tasked with ensuring that the results of the survey are reviewed and suggestions incorporated into existing services and programs where appropriate.
